Algae

This is a picture I took of some algae that was ugly and smelly at the time but without the booger green color its actually kind of pretty with the light sparkling on it and the tree reflected in the puddle.

I'm not really sure...

Also not really sure...

So they don't necessarily make sense but that is why I like them.

I just saw this drowning pool album cover on amazon and I thought it was cool...it reminds me of the Tool videos those are trippy as hell. And the song 37 stitches on this album is a good'n.

Alphabet Soup

Cliche

Another thing that makes me think is that so you look at a picture like this and I automically think cliche. There are so many images out there like this and we see them all the time. But even though I may say this is cliche I still think its beautiful. This picture isnt the best example but pictures such as this i think evoke some sort of a mood in the viewer. We can sort of put ourselves into the picture and to me that is sometimes what art is all about. So its cliche but its still pretty and when you think about it a little it still should be considered art I think, even though it may not have had a lof of thought or meaning put into it when it was taken.

Darkness

So i was never into comics or anything when I was younger, I guess i just didn't really understand them. But this last year I was reading the darkness comics and i realized how much more open-minded I am now that I have more knowledge about art and what art can be. I guess maybe because comics aren't considerd a "traditional" form of art I never labeled them as art but my ideas about them have changed considerably. When i read them i get completeley engrossed and its like watching a movie but better. I can see all of the imagtion and creativity and time and effort has gone into every single one of these images, and no matter how ugly it is its still beautiful. I'm not saying that this is ugly, but I am saying that its amazing that monsters and blood and death can still be beautiful no matter how disgusting.
